GTLD Revolution, which is a new company founded by Dean Shannon (Deep Blue Sea / Fabulous), has today announced their plans to launch 3 new TLDs.
The new venture, which has chosen AusRegistry as their backend provider, is planning on applying for at least three new TLDs when the application process opens up early next year.
The new TLDs they've announced so far are:

Davie Hutchinson, one of the main movers in the .scot movement explained the change:
We're going for dotSCOT after a research survey was conduct by the Scottish Government which showed that was the string with, by far, the strongest backing.
In some respects this may help with some of the possible trademark issues that could have arisen, so it's probably a good move.

- They dont' seem to have as many issues with cybersquatters etc.,
- They seem to be much more engaged with end users via their blogs and other channels
