The event runs over 3 days and will feature sessions on many of Europe's more popular ccTLDs with a wide variety of industry speakers participating in the panel sessions.
There are also going to be live domain auctions, the 1st is for .eu domains, while the second one is being billed as a premium auction, though the actual catalogue hasn't been released yet.
Hopefully I'll be able to blog a bit from Milan..
(Disclosure: I'm on one of the panels to talk about co.uk)
The December ICANN meeting will be held in Cartagena, Colombia.
The ICANN board is currently meeting, so I'm seeing some information being dripped out of it via Rod Beckstrom's Twitter feed (nice work Rod!)
I suspect that the .co registry will be involved in the meeting in Colombia for obvious reasons, but are we going to see more panic from US participants? It's not as if the US has had an exactly stellar relationship with Colombia over the last number of years. ..
This year's event is hosted by Switch, the Swiss domain registry.
The event's programme includes topics such as DNS SEC, registrar accreditation, legal issues and IDNs.
Keeping track of all to them can be a chore, so a site worth bookmarking is Domain Name Calendar, which gives a fairly comprehensive listing of domain industry events. It's run by the same people who are behind Domain Name News
Nice work!

Brussels has a lot to offer from what I recall. Lots of really nice Belgian beers, great food and plenty of other things to keep people amused. Of course anyone going to an ICANN meeting does so for serious work *cough*

The TRAFFIC conference will be held in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from January 21 to 23rd 2010.
TRAFFIC, which has been running since 2004, is one of the more popular conference series in the domain industry. 2010 will see the event being held in the US, Europe and Asia - which is a first for them.
Further details are available on the official site.
If you are a Nominet member but are unable to attend in person there is a webcast available from 10am this morning.
A VIP event to celebrate the launch of .food (dotfood), which Puck is involved with will take place at a well known venue in downtown Sydney. The new TLD application will be presented in association with Minds and Machines.
The ICANN meeting being held this week in Sydney will see the announcements of several new TLD applications, so it should be an interesting and exciting week.

The session, which is being held on Monday afternoon from 1600 to 1800, in the Sydney Hilton, will cover many practical aspects of managing a domain registry and experts from a wide range variety of backgrounds will be there to share their insights.
